2014 MLB Japan All-Star Series

The 2014 MLB Japan All-Star Series was the eleventh edition of the championship held in a best-of-five series format between teams representing Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). For the first time in series history, NPB was represented by their national team Samurai Japan.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://m.mlb.com/japan-series/ )〕 The new NPB Commissioner saw in this championship a big opportunity for Samurai Japan to gain useful experience for the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Samurai Japan won the series by 3–2–0 and Yuki Yanagita was named series MVP.
